Smoking is a direct public nuisance, which should be confined to the privacy of ones home or other private spaces. However, smoking in public places is a privilege that should be snuffed out for good. Smoking is one of the longest lasting bad habits that permeated American culture since the establishment of the state. Its longevity is proof of its addictiveness.

From the beginning, smoking is a controversial practice that is frowned upon because of the nature of addiction. One of the original English settlement company, London company, discouraged by their American colonists from growing tobacco, because it has a habit of creating connections. Smoking is called "vile and stinking habit of threatening lung" King James I in the booklet says the attack after the introduction of tobacco in England.

Smoking brings the worst in otherwise decent people. When a smoker is asked to extinguish their cigarettes because the smoke offends non-smoker, many smokers will argue that the right to smoke. There is no truth in that statement. Smoking is a privilege, not a right. However, the Declaration of Independence does not say that we have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. It has been proven that cigarette smoking is very dangerous habit of smoking and non-smokers to inhale their second hand smoke. All that endangers people's health, violates that person's right to life guaranteed by the Declaration of Independence. Thus, a person the right to life is better than the privilege of people smoking.

There are many reasons that public smoking should be banned. One of the most important reason is that smoking is a public health risk. Second hand smoke is sometimes called environmental tobacco smoke. In recent years, any theory that second hand smoke causes health problems in nonsmokers. Doctors say there is no doubt that second hand smoke causes an increased risk of health problems in nonsmokers. Ross Brownson, Ph.D., professor of epidemiology at St. Louis University School of Public Health, said, "Environmental tobacco smoke is clearly a cause of lung cancer in nonsmokers. If your spouse smokes or around someone who smokes, do not inhale the smoke of their" . Non-smokers can get the worst consequences of smoking, because cigarette smoke inhalation without the benefit of cigarette filters.

Second hand smoke greatly increases the risk of bronchitis and lung cancer. In fact, smoking is the cause of ninety-five percent of all cases of chronic bronchitis. The Department of Health and Human Services report Healthy People 2010: Understanding and improving health smoking was cited as the single largest cause of illness and prevent death in the United States. According to Dr. Peters-Golden, breathing second-hand smoke can increase the likelihood of acute bronchitis, because even a single exposure to tobacco smoke poisons the cilia in the lungs of people.

Since it has been shown that environmental tobacco smoke can cause health problems such as lung cancer and bronchitis in smokers, the ban on smoking in public places reduce the cost of these diseases in non-smoking population. If You nonsmokers are not endangered second hand smoke, would not contribute to the pressure on already stressed health care system.

smoke that lingers after a cigarette is ignited may cause damage to property. The smoke is dark colored, fall pictures, photos, and cause to deteriorate. If a person chooses to smoke wants to destroy his own property, that is their choice to make. However, smokers have no right to destroy public property, to which all taxpayers contribute.

Wherever there is a public smoking is still a very public and the unsightly mess of cigarette butts that litter the ground. In many public places such as stadiums and parks can be hundreds of cigarette use in the field. In many places, throwing a discarded cigarette butt on the ground is against the law. Obviously, many smokers do not care about the law and throw their used cigarettes on the ground with impunity.

It is clear that smoking is a scourge on our society that should be eliminated. In many cases, smoking is a social habit. Banned smoking in public will greatly reduce the amount of social places where smokers can meet, socialize and smoke. A ban on smoking in public places would not only clean air second hand tobacco smoke, and clear the soil infestation discarded cigarette.
